I was really happy to be the photography sponsor for the Pedal Jam Knoxville fundraiser recently. If you haven’t heard of this event, it’s a fundraiser for both South Knoxville Elementary and the Knoxville Appalachian Mountain Biking Club. These are two worthy causes in my humble opinion!

 

The event started with a gathering at Ijams Nature Center (one of my all-time favorite spots in Knoxville). Families and friends gathered, and some attendees rented Pace bikes that were brought in for the event. Folks cycled in groups down the greenway to beautiful Suttree Landing Park for festivities and fun. There were bubbles and games for the kids provided by The Muse Knoxville. Beer and live music were available for the adults. Win-win! There was also plenty of space for dogs, games, and running around.

 

Many of the children got tired after playing in the sun for the afternoon But the big kids and adults cycled back up the greenway to Ijams for the event finale. A live band and more entertainment was available.
