Meet the beautiful Bock family: Michael, Brooke, and Beatrix. As you can *clearly* tell, this family is about to be +1 very soon! I met this lovely trio at Island Home Park along the Tennessee River. 

The first thing I noticed when they got out of the car was Brooke’s beautiful dress. It’s stunning! And it flowed just perfectly in the wind that day.

And then I noticed little Beatrix, Brooke and Michael’s adorable, little two-year-old. She was rather shy at first but seemed to open up a bit and get excited when I told her I had a surprise for her at the end of the session. This is why I keep packs of puffy stickers at home! Beatrix opened up after just a few minutes, and then she was ALL smiles. The pack of Skittles in dad’s back pocket helped, too.

I was so glad I was able to capture this moment in time for them. Some quiet moments between the three of them, just before they become a family of four. Beatrix may not remember much from her second year as she gets older, but these photos will be a great reminder to her and will give her a glimpse of the excitement and love that her parents experienced. And I hope that their new baby will be able to look at these photos one day and see that love and excitement as well.

The water was low when we met, so we were able to get some of these gorgeous shoreline photos. I love the mix of emotions that we were able to capture: the pure excitement and joy from Beatrix. The love and contemplation from Brooke and Michael. Silly to serious, and everything in between. Real human emotions. Friends, this is why I love what I do.

And in case you were wondering, Beatrix loved the puffy flower stickers I brought for her! Her eyes got really big, and she did a little hop up and down when she saw them!
