Quinn’s Birthday Session at Meads Quarry
Just look at this lovely little fairytale character! Quinn’s grandfather reached out to me and requested a photo session in honor of her fourth birthday, and she came dressed to impress! This lovely little layered dress came from Quinn acting as flower girl in her uncle’s wedding. It worked perfectly for this session in the forest, and her little ruby slippers pulled it all together.
I had the pleasure of working with Quinn’s older brother, Michael David, a few years back for his birthday photo session as well. I met Quinn at that session when she was only a few months old! It’s always so great and rewarding to work with a family for multiple sessions. And both she and her brother are sweet, smart, and thoughtful to boot.
Quinn and her mom met me at Meads Quarry early one morning before the sun had even made it all the way up over the trees. There was still a little fog dancing along the quarry lake, and lots of birds were singing their wake up calls in the trees.
Quinn brought three of her favorite dolls to the session. She didn’t part with her favorite Barbie the entire time! One of the dolls had even belonged to her mother when she was a little girl.
We had a great time playing and running in the woods! There was even time for a reading break. Quinn and her mother sat down to share the story book that they had brought along: The Twelve Dancing Princesses. Much of the rest of the session was spent exploring, looking for fancy rocks, and singing songs from Moana, which was a big hit! I was able to coax some extra big grins from Quinn by singing the Moana theme song at the top of my lungs! We rounded out our time with my secret weapon: animal stickers for a job well done!
Happy birthday, Quinn! Here’s hoping your fourth year is stellar and full of lots of fun, learning, and growth. And many thanks to this lovely family for choosing to work with me again!
