When I rolled along the boulevard to Sequoyah Park on this autumnal afternoon, the light was *just* right. Maybe the most magical and spectacular light I’ve ever worked with! I love the openness and expansiveness of this park, along with it being right beside the river. This was perhaps one of the best golden light sessions I’ve ever had! 

I always arrive a few minutes early to scope out the scene. A few minutes later, my client showed up with her mom. I had only spoken with Lena’s mom thus far and hadn’t met either of them in person. Lena hopped out of the car and was so personable, thoughtful, and absolutely stunning. Another dream client for the books!

We were meeting for senior portraits, and Lena specifically chose to have hers done in the fall so that the gorgeous leaves could make an appearance in her photos. She chose really well! Not only did we get some fall leaf photos, but we also got the amazing autumn golden light that makes everything look so special. With that stunning light, we were able to get some really great portraits in front of the beautiful and glowing Tennessee River. The light bouncing off the water hit the tall grasses along the banks just right.

Lena was an absolute champ during this session and a natural in front of the camera. I really loved hearing about her interests, hobbies, and aspirations as she wraps up her high school career. I hope this session will be a happy reminder of this pivotal point in her life.

Congratulations, Lena, and thank you for trusting me with your senior portraits! You’ll be a rock star wherever you go, no matter where life takes you! You’ve got the brains and the heart to succeed anywhere.
