Jen and Michael’s Market Square Wedding
It was such a pleasure to meet Jen and Michael! I had never met either of them before being referred to them, but they are both so down-to-earth and friendly, we felt like old friends.
Their wedding was held at a rooftop venue in downtown Knoxville in lovely Market Square. It was laid back, friendly, and warm. The lighting couldn’t have been more beautiful! You know that lovely, soft, glowing lighting that you get in the early fall? That was it. The weather was perfect, and it was a perfect evening.
One of my favorite details from the day is that Jen’s dress was hand-made from a vintage table cloth. How cool is that? Take a look at the beautiful, subtle pattern in the photos below. It amazed me! The dress was stunning!
Their friends and family were so kind, they made me feel like I was part of the gang!! They had even planned for a Princess Bride joke in the ceremony, and the DJ played a Phish song for their first dance. Basically, I knew I was in the right place. 🙂
One of their friends played guitar for them during the meal. It even garnered some attention from the surrounding rooftop bars! So the neighbors got free live music!
My favorite images from their wedding are from Knoxville’s famous “art alley” behind a row of stores on the east side of Market Square. Apparently, a little wedding day magic was sprinkled, and there happened to be some twinkly lights already up in the alleyway. They make these photos extra special.
This wedding was so friendly, so warm, and so full of love from their family and friends. It was an awesome experience to be a part of.
Congratulations to Jen and Michael, and thank you for letting me be a part of your wedding day! May you have many, many happy years together!
If you’ve got a wedding on the horizon, I’d love to chat about your wedding day needs. You can also look at other weddings that I’ve photographed here on the blog.
