Pre-wedding Groom Photos in Charleston, SC
One of the best things my husband and I did when we got married was hire someone to take photos of him getting ready on our wedding day.
Our main photographer, of course, was scheduled to take getting ready photos of me. This is always the case; brides tend to get more love than the grooms! But in hind sight, it was such a good decision on our part. Otherwise, I would have missed out on seeing my husband anxiously getting ready, trying to tie his tie straight and fixing his hair. I got to see him pumping himself up for what was about to happen, and I cherish that.
So, I was really happy to get to work with Emily and Marshall, a fantastic couple (who happen to also my friends) recently in lovely Charleston, South Carolina. I grew up pretty close to Charleston, so this was a great way to get back to the homeland. I got to see some family and friends, and take treasured photos at the same time!
Marshall and his groomsmen while they were getting ready at their hotel while the main photographer worked with the bride and bridesmaids. So this is where I come in! These are typically the moments that the bride would have missed. Marshall putting on his tie. Friends laughing and cutting up in the bathroom. The manly details of the day, basically!
Speaking from experience, these are the images that both halves of the couple should be able to see, hold, and cherish. These are the memories that usually go missing.
Laughter, shenanigans, pizza, brownies, and beer. What more could a guys ask from his groomsmen? 😉 Obviously, they had a great time getting ready! And I’m glad I was able to capture these memories for Emily, Marshall, and their families.
