Meet my lovely new neighbors, Amye and Aaron, who are about to be plus one baby boy! 

(Update and great news: although he arrived nearly a week late, little Oliver is here and our neighborhood is busy setting up meal trains for this new family of three.)

This evening session was hot, hot, hot, but we managed to stay in the shade on the lovely, meandering trails at Ijams Nature Center. The third warm body you see in these photos is Slippers, Amye and Aaron’s Berna-doodle pup. Slippers was such a good participant during the session. At one point, she got distracted by a handsome German shepherd up the hill, but other than that it was smooth sailing. Aaron made sure to bring some treats in his pocket to entire Slippers to sit and follow directions. She is definitely a gentle giant and will be a great babysitter! 😉

Amye’s white dress was so elegantly understated, and I love how the delicate details and stitching came through in the photos. And the beautiful purple and turquoise drape you see on Amye in some of the photos is from her travels in Bali! 

It was so fun getting to know my new neighbors better and capturing this time for them. They were naturals in front of the camera, and I adore how they look at each other! I mean, it’s so easy to see that these two love birds are beyond excited about this new journey. I’m so excited for these two and know they will be amazing parents.

Congratulations, Amye and Aaron, and enjoy your time with your new little nugget! I’m so excited to have a new tiny neighbor to meet!
