Kolesar Maternity Session at Home
Driving up to Kristin and Ken’s beautifully wooded lot in Knox County, I was greeted by the lush greenery and the peaceful river at the base of their property. I hopped out of the car and started scoping out spots for our session at the Kolesar home.
I was very excited for this session with my friend Kristin and her husband, Ken. Kristin is expecting little Evelyn very soon; her very first baby. I’m so glad we could capture this fleeting moment in time before Evelyn arrives.
And not only did I get to photograph a beautiful couple, but they wanted to be sure to include their goofy, fluffy pup, Hazel, in the photos. She’s a gorgeous mix of great Pyrenees and Australian shepherd, and she’s super-sweet to boot. This is the second couple I’ve photographed in the past 6 months who have wanted their pup to be in their maternity photos! If everyone did this, I definitely wouldn’t complain!
It was a gorgeous morning. Fog was still burning off the river as the sun rose. The birds were out singing, and the temperature was perfect. Somehow the mosquitoes weren’t even too bad! We started in a shady spot in their front yard and made our way down to their dock. The water was so smooth and calm. I love how the calm water seemed to influence Kristin and Ken. I think they look so calm and peaceful, but at the same time, FULL of joy and gratitude. What a beautiful combination to witness in person.
Kristin and Ken, thank you for having me over to your home and for letting me capture this moment for you. You will be amazing parents, and Baby Evelyn will be one lucky little girl. Enjoy the last few days you have as a couple, and cherish everything that you’ve built and accomplished together. Congratulations!
Be sure to take a look at my other maternity sessions, or reach out to schedule a session for yourself or someone else.
