Here are my tips for preparing for your session so you can actually enjoy the time with your family.

How to Take the Stress Out of Family Photo Sessions

Parents and two young children sit on a stone wall in the forest.

It’s always special to see a family for another photo session. It’s even better to witness the growth of the family. I worked with the Gills a few years back when their oldest, Caroline, was just one year old. Now, she’s the big sister, and a little brother has been added to the family. While […]

The Gill Family at Ijams Nature Center

A brother, sister, and their families stand together in the lush, green back yard.

Imagine having your family fly in from across the world. You don’t get to see each other often, the kids are growing like weeds, and you don’t know the next time you’ll have this opportunity. It’s no wonder Cathy wanted family photos to commemorate this reunion!

I was delighted to capture annual family holiday photos for the Kolsear’s at their home. This time, it was multi-generational!

A young family stands in a sunflower field in the early morning..

This was such a lovely photo session in the TWRA sunflower fields! Ruby’s parents both got to show her lots of love, and we captured some really special moments.

Amelia needed some all-purpose headshots that she could use for her graduate program, speaking engagements, and other events that will surely come up during her time in school.

Quinn’s grandfather reached out to request a photo session for her fourth birthday, and she was dressed to impress with ruby slippers!

Amye Cole sits on a stone bench at Talahi Park.

It is always such a pleasure working with my sweet neighbor and friend Amye Cole! Amye reached out needing headshots for her professional practice website.  I know I sound like a broken record, but it’s always, always, always a good idea to have recent headshots ready to go, especially for professionals. You never know when […]

Sophia Etienne standing in Talahi Park in Knoxville.

This gorgeous lady reached out to me after seeing my headshot work with the CAC AmeriCorps program. Sophia said she needed headshots for some future ventures that she wants to make happen. And I totally understand. It’s always a good idea to have recent headshots on hand. With online communication being everything these days, it’s important: now more than ever!

A mother and father snuggle their baby.

This is my third time working with Kristin and Ken Kolesar, but only my second time meeting Baby Evelyn. The last time I saw her, she was just a few months old and couldn’t do much on her own. This time around, Evelyn just celebrated her first birthday, shares lots of smiles and giggles, and is starting to take steps (with a little assistance!)
