Sophia Etienne standing in Talahi Park in Knoxville.

This gorgeous lady reached out to me after seeing my headshot work with the CAC AmeriCorps program. Sophia said she needed headshots for some future ventures that she wants to make happen. And I totally understand. It’s always a good idea to have recent headshots on hand. With online communication being everything these days, it’s important: now more than ever!

A mother and father snuggle their baby.

This is my third time working with Kristin and Ken Kolesar, but only my second time meeting Baby Evelyn. The last time I saw her, she was just a few months old and couldn’t do much on her own. This time around, Evelyn just celebrated her first birthday, shares lots of smiles and giggles, and is starting to take steps (with a little assistance!)

Kolesar Family: Evelyn’s First Birthday

Three siblings play in the grass.

Meet the Christian family! Christi and Matt Christian and their five children are new to town, and I feel so lucky that they found me and chose me as their photographer. This family is full of kindness, joy, love, and lots and lots of giggles.

My friends Andrew and Stephanie just had the most amazing wedding (read: party) at River John’s Outfitters in Maryville, Tennessee.

A young woman sits at the Knoxville Botanical Gardens for her portrait.

I recently had the pleasure of taking portraits of the entire CAC Knox County AmeriCorps team. This group is special to me because it’s the entire reason I moved to Knoxville 13 years ago.

A young man at his Bratabandha ceremony with icing on his face.

There are many complex parts to the full Bratabandha ritual, but I was asked to capture the fun moments from the “friends and family” part of Lucas’s Bratabandha.

A bride and groom look at each other and stand in the Knox County Courthouse after their wedding.

t was such an absolute honor when my wonderful and beautiful friend, Abbey, asked me to photograph her wedding. As many couples have done over the past 18 months, Abbey and her fiancé, Derek, decided to forgo a traditional wedding and have a very small gathering at the Knox County Courthouse instead.

A mom and dad hold their one-year-old son in a field at Mead's Quarry.

This session was really special and rewarding because a little over a year ago, I took maternity photos for Amye and Aaron (and their pup, Slippers). And now they just celebrated Oliver’s very first birthday. Time is a thief for sure! Amye and Aaron are actually my neighbors, so it’s been such a treat to see them around the neighborhood with Oliver in the stroller. So I’ve been able to see him grow from a tiny baby to a very expressive, little guy.

A UTK student at Morgan Hall with her parents and dog.

When Oprah Winfrey said, “When I look to the future, it’s so bright it burns my eyes,” I just know she was talking about Hailey Rose Viars. This beautiful senior just graduated with honors from the University of Tennessee—the UT Institute of Agriculture to be exact. Hailey Rose majored in agricultural leadership, education, and communications. […]

The Kolesars hold their newborn daughter in their Knoxville home.

On arriving at the Kolesar home that overlooks Melton Hill lake, Kristin and Ken were taking turns walking and bouncing baby Evelyn.
